Responsibilities
- Maintain superior customer service and model US Foods Cultural Beliefs (Deliver Excellence, Stop Waste, WIN Together, Speak Up, You Matter)
- Perform cashier duties: scan merchandise, weigh products, look up items, ensure accurate barcodes, report discrepancies, perform cart-to-cart transfers, visual inspections for tampering
- Act as receipt checker: verify cart contents vs. purchases as customers exit
- Perform front end opening and closing functions
- Assist customers on sales floor in Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply departments to find products and promote services
- Receive inventory shipments, stock shelves neatly, rotate products (FIFO), perform product quality audits, report low stock
- Label merchandise: blaster tagging, catch weight labels, PLU tags for produce
- Replenish sales floor daily from top stock using oldest product first, down stock freight
- Ensure products are accessible, visually appealing, and available; assist with price changes
- Participate in store events (Vendor Fairs, sales floor resets, inventory processes, cycle counts)
- Assist with store opening/closing duties
- Maintain safe environment by following safety policies and notifying management of issues
