Responsibilities

  • Maintain superior customer service and exemplify US Foods Cultural Beliefs (Deliver Excellence, Stop Waste, WIN Together, Speak Up, You Matter)
  • Perform cashier duties: scan merchandise, weigh products, look up items, ensure barcode accuracy, report discrepancies, perform cart-to-cart transfers with visual inspection for tampering
  • Act as receipt checker: verify cart contents vs. purchases as customers exit
  • Perform front-end opening and closing functions
  • Assist customers on sales floor in Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply departments to find products and promote services
  • Receive inventory shipments, stock shelves neatly, rotate products (FIFO), perform product quality audits, report low stock
  • Label merchandise: blaster tagging, catch weight labels, PLU tags for produce
  • Replenish sales floor by down stocking freight from top stock using reach trucks/pallet jacks, ensure oldest product first
  • Ensure products are accessible, visually appealing, and available; assist with price changes
  • Participate in store opening/closing duties, inventory, cycle counts, special events (Vendor Fairs, sales floor resets)
  • Maintain facility safety and cleanliness, notify management of issues
