Responsibilities

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with customers, utilizing tools and skills from CHEF’STORE Way training
Perform sales and cash functions at POS efficiently and accurately, including scanning merchandise, weighing products, looking up unscannable items, and reporting discrepancies
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of products at checkout with visual inspection for tampering
Perform duties as receipt checker, verifying cart contents vs. purchases as customers leave
Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
Assist customers on the sales floor to find products and inform them of available services to increase sales and manage shrinkage
Assist in receiving inventory shipments, maintaining and stocking shelves neatly, ensuring proper rotation, product quality audits, and reporting low stock levels
Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled, including blaster tagging unscannable items, applying catch weight labels, and affixing PLU tags to produce
Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock using FIFO method, reaching trucks, and pallet jacks; cull out products as necessary
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software as needed
Ensure all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available
Assist with price changes as directed by Pricing Lead and Store Management
Participate in inventory and cycle count processes as needed
Assist during special store events such as Vendor Fairs, sales floor resets, and inventory processes
Ensure facility is well maintained and safe by following safety policies and practices (Customer Courtesy role)
