Retail & Operational Communications Professional (Production Professional 2)

Position Overview

Humana’s Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced Retail & Operational Communications Professional to join the Retail Communications Team as a Production Professional 2. This role focuses on Medicare compliance and operational communications. You will work closely with multiple business partners on preformatted multi-channel member communications.

Key Role Functions

  • Facilitate meetings with communication owners and IT to discuss build requirements.
  • Load and test new or revised communication templates according to business requirements.
  • Work with IT teams on file design and integration.
  • Work with Print vendors for print testing of communication templates.
  • Create logic, repeating data tables, and handle other complex situations for communication templates, requiring independent thinking.
  • Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of experience with print communications and proofreading.
    • Medicare communications experience.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Advanced grammar skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Smart Communications experience.

Additional Information

  • Internet Service: For remote employees, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended. Wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Internet Reimbursement: Employees living and working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Equipment: Humana will provide necessary telephone equipment for remote employees.
  • Work Environment: Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
