Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, along with basic computer skills and excellent communication abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and applicants must be available to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds while exerting well-paced mobility for up to eight hours, involving standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
The Restaurant Host will greet, seat, and bid farewell to guests, diligently manage seating in Eataly’s restaurants, oversee the general functioning of the dining room during meal service, relaying information to managers and service personnel, maintain an accurate waitlist and seating chart, inform guests when tables are ready, escort them to their tables, provide menus, and introduce them to the server. They will also assist with the duties of servers and bus persons as needed, balancing the guest flow among service stations, and performing other duties as required or assigned.
