Responsibilities

Product development through the entire product life cycle, from program kick-off to start of production
Create and manage CAD designs of individual components and the overall BOM (Bill of Materials) structure
Build and analyze Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models of Node™-based vehicle structures, including validation using hand calculations and optimization
Present design summaries and reports at meetings and to other engineers or external parties
Develop and refine new technical solutions for automotive structures to support external customer programs and joint development efforts
Act as a technical liaison between Divergent and its customers, ensuring product requirements are concurred, tracked, and achieved
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including system-level DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP (Design Verification Plan)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing/design capabilities and limitations
Ensure proposed design changes can be efficiently produced and assembled
