Requirements

  • Fluency in English – written and spoken
  • Proven experience working with projects involving large amounts of content
  • Knowledge of software QA, QC, DTP and/or OCR methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience using content editing tools (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Articulate, Captivate) and audio visual types (strong asset)
  • Training experience (strong asset)
  • Fair and unbiased to maintain a positive work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as part of a team and with diverse teams
  • Experience as a translator, linguist and/or DTP specialist (strong asset)
  • Experience in project management (beneficial)
  • Experience working in international environments
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business, graphics, or scientific field
  • 3 or more years of experience with QC and QA processes in the language services industry including DTP tasks

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workflow of incoming jobs for the team, equitably assigning tasks to each team member ensuring no project is missing, taking on jobs as needed
  • Pre-check each project file for cleanliness, determine if the deadline is feasible, negotiate with the Project Manager for an extension if needed
  • Manage capacity of the team by monitoring workload and raising red flags to the Team Lead
  • Monitor mailbox and answer queries/concerns from requestors/PMs
  • Provide timely communication between relevant departments
  • Monitor current traffic processes and input ideas on how to improve current practices where required
  • Work with Team Leads, CD members, and the Head of Operational Excellence to document major quality issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of QC and QA processes in the translation and localization supply chain
  • Provide direction and feedback to resources during shifts
  • Collaborate with other Resource Managers for coordination of handovers and complex projects requiring multiple resources
  • Ensure the overall quality of translated and localized content
  • Identify, analyze, track and fix quality issues formatting wise for multilingual projects
  • Inspect and check files and pages in various languages to ensure they are workable sources for specialists
  • Work effectively with other members of the IQVIA™ Translation Services team as well as external resources to deliver high-standard correctly formatted files
