Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
At least ten years of water/wastewater project experience
New York PE License required
Experience with the New York Department of Environment and/or the Department of Design and Construction (preferred)
Trench and safety training; OSHA 30 Hour training (a plus)
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated
Ability to work well with others
Strong leadership skills
Experience with construction administration and safety protocols

Responsibilities

Provide and manage day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering efforts on complex water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities
Manage CM inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspection reports
Manage the Contractor payment process and recommend appropriate adjustments
Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance, and coordination with other stakeholders
Generate project correspondence, including daily site inspections and reports
Use effective oral and written communication skills to lead progress meetings
Collaborate amongst client, contractor(s), design engineers, and third-party stakeholders
Collaborate with a local project delivery team and national team of technical experts
Mentor, supervise, and provide direction for less experienced staff
Review design and bidding documents for completeness, constructability, and biddability
Perform construction administration, schedule analyses, and change order development
