Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of overall professional experience
- Previous PowerBI experience (Required)
- SSMS SQL experience (Required)
- Power Query (Preferred)
- Power Pivot (Preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint
- Advanced understanding of database theory and experience working with databases (Preferred)
- Self-driven with a desire to successfully take on new challenges and additional responsibilities
- Can work on multiple projects with varying deadlines and prioritizes
- Asks questions to clarify and seeks out information
- Understands how to accurately produce reports, memorandums, and other communications needed for internal and external requests by following specifications in place
- Demonstrates competent analytical skills
- Has strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates an effective balance between working through challenges independently and asking for guidance
- Students of IT, data analytics, business administration or related (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of operational, financial and sales reporting across all segments of the Heavy Equipment line of business
- Create complex reports leveraging PowerBI and SSMS that assist management in making business decisions based on clearly illustrated visual analytics
- Work closely with leadership across the Heavy Equipment line of business and IT support staff
- Improve the Data Warehouse through data analysis and providing feedback to the DW owners
- Document and write user stories and requirements, participate in PI planning sessions on identified enhancements/fixes
- Participate in brainstorming sessions in the development of new solutions
- Manage data through various reporting tools for data analysis to support various projects
- Manage and document assigned projects and maintain current project list that includes status, milestones & deadlines, accessible to manager
- Execute on multiple projects with varying deadlines; communicate status to manager regularly as needed
- Assist with training junior level staff for specific tasks identified by manager
- Perform all other duties and participate in special projects assigned
- Understand complex insurance forms to allow accurate updating to the client’s database so clients can meet complicated regulatory obligations and ensure the equipment has insurance coverage at all times
- Identify and interpret terminology from complex insurance forms and determine action needed
- Validate documents in accordance with established client procedures
- Learn and process more than one client, if the opportunity is available
