Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • In-depth working experience in a turbo machinery service shop
  • Previous, relevant experience working on Aero/Aviation Derivative Gas Turbines
  • Previous experience developing and managing technical investigations

Responsibilities

  • Supporting maintenance execution in the service shop including inspection and disposition of components
  • Dispositioning activities, ensuring the latest shop practices have been followed, and reporting outstanding recurrent findings (Leading indicators) to the repair engineering teams
  • Supporting operational targets such as Turn Around Time
  • Supporting risk-based evaluation and risk-based mitigation action definitions
  • Preparing technical documentation supporting internal reviews of the project and being accountable for the applicable action items
  • Leading technical investigations and Root Cause Analysis activities on gas turbine components
  • Supporting development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, and industrialization, including related program deliverables to repair facilities
  • Applying existing technologies, approaches, and methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems, or processes
