Role Overview

As a Truss/Wall Panel Designer, you will be instrumental in designing roof/floor trusses and wall panels for single-family, multi-family, and commercial construction projects using Mitek software. The goal is to create accurate designs that maximize efficiency while ensuring quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Optimize designs for cost efficiency and structural integrity.
  • Review orders, layouts, and data files to ensure accuracy before production.
  • Partner with sales and production teams to provide design support and troubleshooting solutions.
  • Continuously enhance design skills and contribute to process improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in truss and/or wall panel design, with a focus on roof and floor systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using Mitek software for design and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of floor and roof systems, including the ability to spec out beams and hangars.
  • Work Ethic: A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a passion for delivering top-quality work.
  • Location: Must reside in the United States.
