[Remote] Software Engineer, Trusted Computing and Cryptography at OpenAI

The salary range is $308K - $465K.

The role may be based remotely in the US with occasional travel to our San Francisco HQ or other offices as needed. They use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

The role requires writing high-quality, performance-critical code in Rust and Python, professional experience programming in Python, and proficiency in Rust and/or C/C++. Additional key skills include experience deploying cryptographic systems at scale, familiarity with security primitives like TPM2, Secure Boot, secure enclaves, and confidential computing, plus extensive experience on global-scale production systems.

Strong candidates have extensive experience as a software engineer on global-scale production systems, expertise in deploying cryptographic systems at scale with strong key management understanding, familiarity with security primitives like TPM2 and secure enclaves, proficiency in Python and Rust/C++, and own problems end-to-end while acquiring missing knowledge.
