Requirements

Candidates must possess a GED or High School Diploma and have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in medical billing and/ collection. Preferred qualifications include a working knowledge of Word and Excel, experience with home infusion and durable medical equipment billing and collection, IV field experience, medical billing certification, and some college education. The role also requires willingness to work additional or irregular hours and adherence to security policies to safeguard information.

Responsibilities

The Reimbursement Coordinator will follow the reimbursement process to ensure timely and accurate payment for products and services, overseeing claims processing, payment posting, and follow-up activities. This includes obtaining billing information, submitting claims within timely filing periods, tracking pending claims, and researching claim payments. Responsibilities also involve performing collection follow-up on primary, secondary, and patient balances, preparing write-off forms for bad debt, and addressing discrepancies and resolving claim denials.
