Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience or passion for working with adult behavioral health patients (e.g., Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders, Suicidal behavior)
Ability to work in a structured, therapeutic environment requiring critical thinking and autonomous professional nursing practice
Comfortable with rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays), 72 hours per 2 weeks
Motivation for patient-focused care in a team environment with 1 RN to 7-8 patient ratio

Responsibilities

Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical/psychological/social conditions, conferring with family/friends, establishing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables
Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans to healthcare team, coordinating with providers, delivering physical/emotional/psychological/spiritual support, and conferring with physicians
Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients/families/friends on conditions/medications/self-care, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changing conditions/needs, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
Maintain safe patient care environment by following infection-control policies, medication administration/storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards, policies, and legal regulations; alerting others to concerns
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Maintain patient care equipment by following operating instructions, established procedures, and troubleshooting breakdowns
