Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience in a psychiatric/mental health setting and be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a completed BSN. A current RN license with active CA licensure is required, along with familiarity with psychiatric medications and DSM-5 diagnoses. Expertise in patient education and crisis management, along with strong EHR and technological literacy, is essential. The role requires exceptional prioritization skills for assessing and triaging patient requests, strong verbal and written communication skills for clinical documentation, and the ability to work M-F from 9 am to 5 pm PST. Candidates must also be able to cover during the 4th of July holiday week and the last week of the year on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide clinical support to nearly 60 providers by triaging and supporting patients between telehealth appointments. Responsibilities include assessing medication concerns, addressing safety issues, managing refills, and processing standing orders. The role involves collaborating with Virtual Assistants and Support agents to oversee prior authorizations and paperwork requests. Additionally, the nurse will contribute to creating evidence-based protocols, policies, and workflows to elevate the standard of care.
