Requirements
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current nursing license in the state of practice. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and prior experience in home therapy or dialysis is desirable. Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of patient care protocols are essential, along with the ability to interpret and apply medical information.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse - RN will conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ needs related to home dialysis training and treatment, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications as prescribed, and document patient responses and interventions accurately. They will also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, provide patient and family education, initiate or assist with emergency response measures, and ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed while identifying barriers to successful home dialysis treatment.
