Requirements
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current nursing license in the state of practice. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and at least two years of experience as an RN, preferably in home health or dialysis, are required. Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of ESRD are essential, along with proficiency in using electronic medical records and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will provide safe and effective home dialysis therapy support to patients with ESRD, assessing their response to treatment and communicating patient-related issues to the physician. They will also educate patients and their families on ESRD, dialysis procedures, and home dialysis equipment, as well as coordinate patient transfers to the hemodialysis clinic when necessary. Additionally, the RN will participate in staff training, quality improvement activities, and laboratory-related tasks such as reviewing lab orders and entering data into the Medical Information System.
