Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale of products in a defined geographical district and development/execution of sales plans, targets, and budgets
  • Primary management responsibility for directing EP sales of Abbott products/services in a specified region
  • Exercises direct supervision over company sales force personnel
  • Recommends, interprets, and implements corporate/division policies; resolves issues and ensures employee compliance
  • Sets goals, ensures they are met, and drives continuous process improvement
  • Assures quality of services meets internal/external customer requirements; monitors performance and reports status
  • Ensures operational practices run smoothly, meet budget/sales goals, and comply with marketing campaigns/promotions
  • Creates and maintains district budgets; coordinates with and reports to senior management
  • Supports sales representatives and key account colleagues in managing client relationships and negotiating contracts
  • Builds district sales capability; manages and motivates the district sales team
  • Hires and retains diverse, qualified staff; provides career coaching, growth, and development (critiques, instructs, mentors, evaluates, coaches)
