Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role within a non-profit or humanitarian organization. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements is essential, as is experience managing multiple budgets and overseeing financial operations.
The Regional Finance Director will provide financial oversight and leadership for the California region, ensuring fiscal responsibility, compliance, and strategic financial planning, including overseeing field offices, managing budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and adhering to donor requirements. They will also supervise finance staff, monitor daily work activities, track and approve timesheets, monitor performance, document performance concerns, and enter staff transitions in HRIS, while embodying the organization’s mission, vision, and values as a spiritual leader.
