Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in sales of Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, and/or equivalent industry merchant experience
  • 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job, inclusive of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Power BI, and B2B Order Entry Software
  • Proven success meeting deadlines and sales/revenue goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with elements of ambiguity
  • Advanced knowledge of retail analytics
  • Time management skills to handle sample lines, territory travel, tear down and set ups, while maintaining order book and shipments
  • 50% travel required
  • Known for interpersonal skills, including relationship building, strong persuasive speaking and proven negotiation abilities
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication and can clearly communicate ideas regardless of the audience
  • Adept at working within integrated cross-functional teams with the ability to establish effective working relationships internally and externally

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to maintain and own account relationships within assigned territory of Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Nebraska
  • Seek to identify and execute sales opportunities with an enterprise mindset
  • Develop, communicate, and execute sales plans and forecasts externally and internally
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support a best-in-class business
  • Gather marketplace intelligence and consumer insights to execute brand strategy
  • Deliver compelling seasonal product presentations utilizing elevated and persuasive storytelling and directive selling techniques
