Requirements

  • Able to work in hot/cold/wet environments
  • Able to push, pull, or lift over 40 lbs. and climb ladders above 10 feet
  • Able to walk and stand approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor
  • Work schedule is 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays as scheduled, with days off during the week
  • Willing to rotate shifts and work overtime as needed
  • Pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, with annual recertification
  • Be clean shaven for proper fit of APR/SCBA equipment
  • Be a member of the Plant Hazmat Team
  • Complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training
  • Have at least 6 months of industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for HVAC or Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration
  • Meet rehiring criteria: not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior and completed at least 180 days since last employment with Tyson

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning/washing of Ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC/MAUs units on the roof
  • Change filters and clean roof area
  • Shadow Refrigeration Techs to be trained in the ammonia refrigeration system
  • Create Maintenance Notifications and work orders
  • Confirm time into the SAP system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
