Requirements

  • Experience working with and/or servicing radiochemistry synthesis modules, including (but not limited to) various TRACERlab FX and FASTlab/FASTlab 2 systems
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, radiochemistry, or engineering preferred, but will consider experienced non-degreed individuals with an established background in radiochemistry/organic synthesis principles
  • Ability to understand and follow mechanical schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
  • High degree of flexibility, highly motivated with ability to work under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Willing to travel 60-70% and sometimes with short notice
  • Flexible work hours required, including overnight, on-line center support shifts, and weekend service at customer sites if scheduled
  • Preference for individuals based in the Western half of the United States
  • Aware of and comply with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and/or other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within defined deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to GE Healthcare field engineers and direct to customers
  • Provide on-site service at customer sites for the North American customer base, including equipment installation, GE-initiated field modifications (FMI's), Preventative Maintenance (PM's), and emergency corrective actions
  • Perform advanced, total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repairs on designated equipment
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions in a timely manner
  • Solve cyclotron, chemistry synthesis, and FDA documentation issues for customers and improve customer satisfaction
  • Provide applications training for advanced customers
  • Update product manuals and technical publications
  • Certify cGMP installation and preventive maintenance of chemistry synthesizers
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
  • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated
  • Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conduct root cause analysis for effective problem solving
  • Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, playing a leading role on complex and multi-functional system fixes
  • Ensure timely dispatch closure (if applicable)
  • Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
