Requirements

Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
Ability and willingness to obtain/retain a tow motor certification
Ability and willingness to scan or input into the computer system, all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs
Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently
Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs
Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously
Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours, required
Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
Ability and willingness to work in hot temperatures 90 degrees to 100 degrees

Responsibilities

Keep all areas of the smokehouse department clean, including cleaning floors, walls, and ceilings with chemicals
Clean lights, floor scales, waste meat containers, and doors
Keep all department equipment cleaned and properly stored
Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
Chemically clean racks and sticks
Comply with certification for chemicals
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed
Perform any other work as assigned by management
Gather and wash equipment according to specifications and use/operate equipment including racks and sticks
