BSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline (will consider HND/HNC/apprenticeship combined with significant direct work experience)
2 years relevant work experience

Responsibilities

Work within R&D team to handle aspects of research, design, and development of innovative consumable products for the biopharmaceutical market
Progress concepts from inception to commercial launch as part of a global multi-disciplinary product development team
Provide technical and practical input to support design, assembly, and manufacturing
Create prototypes and perform functional and performance tests
Responsible for documentation such as reports, mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and validation reports
Present work to internal teams, stakeholders, and externally as required
Select raw materials, components, manufacturing/assembly processes, and suppliers
Work in close collaboration with team members and other departments including product engineering, product management, sourcing, and quality
May manage simple projects or swim-lanes
Occasional travel, mostly within UK
