Candidates must be pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related field and be part of the Class of 2027. Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with data science libraries like pandas and dataframe architecture, is required. Familiarity with Python-based data visualization tools is a plus. Experience with SQL, including constructing and optimizing complex queries for large datasets, is necessary, with experience in BigQuery or other cloud-based querying platforms being a strong advantage. Exposure to computational finance concepts and strong statistical knowledge, including probability distributions, are also required.
The Quantitative Analyst Intern will analyze trading data and proprietary intraday signals to produce quantitative execution alphas and create bespoke analytics visualizations using Talos data to illustrate trading patterns and execution insights. They will learn to use internal tools and systems for data analysis and work with Talos quants on quantitative strategies that utilize execution alphas to drive trading decision making. The intern will also help gather and organize data related to trading algorithm performance, learn about market microstructure and best execution practices, and assist in preparing quantitative content for client meetings, presentations, and academic research reporting. Additionally, they will work with Quant strategies to backtest real-world trading features.
