Requirements

  • Engineering Degree with 14 to 16 years of experience or Engineering Diploma with 16 to 18 years of experience
  • Working Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning
  • Extensive Experience in Quality Management: interprets results of quantitative and statistical tools, communicates benefits of quality processes, conducts quality reviews, develops expertise in QA tools/techniques/standards, develops QA processes based on Six Sigma/ISO 9000/Baldrige, develops programs to motivate employees for quality goals
  • Extensive Experience in Collaborating: demonstrates collaborative processes for problem solving and business goals, establishes shared goals, ensures access to data for input

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration, assembly line Quality, training of members, Lean Initiatives execution, and continual improvement of quality management systems at facility level
  • Develop quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines, and control plans to assure quality and reliability of manufactured products
  • Recruit, develop, and lead staff to accomplish goals, adhere to policies/procedures, and promote a culture of quality right the first time and continuous improvement
  • Communicate adherence to customer requirements, product/service specifications, and ensure expectations are met for high customer satisfaction
  • Manage processes for internal quality audits compliance, coordinate external on-site audits; analyze product development/manufacturing procedures for deviations, recommend/implement corrective actions
  • Drive change based on data; review reports with QA, production, management, and engineering to solve quality issues
  • Manage team to ensure on-time calibration of tools, Incoming Quality of parts, Reactive Supplier Quality with no line downtime
  • Manage and continuously improve content/delivery of training for Operating Technicians to foster safety and quality culture
  • As part of Lean initiatives, generate a plan and execute the Lean Assessment for the facility
