Requirements

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or maritime industries. A strong understanding of quality control principles, techniques, and tools is required, along with proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including DoD quality requirements, is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant quality certifications such as ASQ CQI or CQE are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector will conduct thorough inspections and tests on components, assemblies, and finished vessels to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. They will maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions while preparing inspection reports and providing feedback to engineering and production teams. The inspector will ensure adherence to quality standards and protocols, monitor compliance with internal quality policies, and identify defects or deviations from specifications. They will investigate root causes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures. Participation in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of quality control procedures and best practices will be required, along with assisting in training new team members on quality control procedures and standards.
