Requirements

  • Ensures continuous quality compliance during manufacturing operations
  • Monitors ongoing manufacturing operations to ensure quality issues are quickly addressed
  • Provides quality alerts and leads containment and purges when required
  • Leads the development of the inspection strategy for receiving inspection, pre-ship inspection, and out-of-box-audits
  • Ensures Certificates of Compliance are created and maintained, including documentation of deviations
  • Ensures creation and maintenance of manufacturing quality history documentation as required
  • Understands and follows Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications, and adheres to regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Build and embed Quality Awareness in Operations by ensuring effectiveness of training and inspections
  • Educate operators and production associates on quality and compliance procedures
  • Ensure compliance of customer requirements, industry standards, and safety in the workplace
  • Serve as primary interface with customers on quality related matters and lead improvements to reduce Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)
  • Participate and support regulatory and customer audits at site
  • Monitor own work to ensure quality standards are met, look for opportunities to improve quality and eliminate waste, and deliver work that eliminates scrap or rework
  • Keep supervisors informed and escalate issues when needed
  • Drive Proactive Continuous Improvement on Yield & Quality Metrics by designing templates for documents, file types, and document databases
  • Drive cross-functional teams to deliver continual improvement
