Requirements

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience
1 Year experience working in the Quality Department
Advanced knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
Ability to work physically in an office and production area, including sitting at a keyboard for long periods, exposure to noise, dust, metal shavings, and varying temperatures
Passionate, adaptable, driven to achieve quality results, focused on continuous improvement, self-motivated, and problem solver

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and associated documentation
Monitor and recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards, procedures, processes, or documentation to achieve optimum quality
Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis
Record data applying statistical quality control procedures
Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
Work with customer representatives to address nonconformance/MRB activity and corrective actions
Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, or anticipated delays
Confirm that all standard operating procedures are being completed and that all operations comply with state and federal laws for safety and labor compliance
Perform system internal audits to assess the health of the company Quality Management System
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Perform other related duties as assigned or related to position
