Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience
  • 1 Year experience working in the Quality Department
  • Advanced knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Ability to work physically in an office and production area, including sitting at a keyboard for long periods, exposure to noise, dust, metal shavings, and varying temperatures
  • Passionate, adaptable, driven to achieve quality results, focused on continuous improvement, self-motivated, and problem solver

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and associated documentation
  • Monitor and recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards, procedures, processes, or documentation to achieve optimum quality
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
  • Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis
  • Record data applying statistical quality control procedures
  • Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
  • Work with customer representatives to address nonconformance/MRB activity and corrective actions
  • Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, or anticipated delays
  • Confirm that all standard operating procedures are being completed and that all operations comply with state and federal laws for safety and labor compliance
  • Perform system internal audits to assess the health of the company Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or related to position
