Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field required (Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or related life science field preferred); Alternatively, an Associate’s degree with 2 years of IDT experience
  • 2 years applicable lab experience
  • Demonstrated skills working with next-generation sequencing technologies including library preparation and data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical skills, scientific methods, or operational processes to perform next-generation library preparation and other molecular biology techniques using clearly defined standard operating procedures
  • Perform complex data entry and analysis, and peer review for good documentation practices, consistency, and accuracy in accordance with lab procedures
  • Perform daily lab duties including inventory replenishment, reagent preparation, routine equipment maintenance, and laboratory cleaning and organization in accordance with good lab practices
  • Work both independently and as part of a team testing next-generation sequencing kit reagents in concordance with established procedures and ISO 13485 guidelines
