Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in construction, architecture, or engineering, or alternatively, 20+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. They must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in both design and construction, along with excellent communication skills for interacting with field and office personnel. Furthermore, the individual needs to demonstrate QA/QC management experience on projects exceeding $1 million in value, fluency in project management principles, and the ability to analyze project information and communicate status effectively in writing or verbally. Knowledge of construction contract documents, local state and federal jurisdictions, and engineering services is also required.

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Manager will interface with clients to define project requirements, review schedules, and align project work plans and deadlines with those requirements. They will monitor on-site processes and systems for compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code compliance. The role involves coordinating and monitoring the completion of activities throughout the project cycle, providing technical oversight and evaluation concerning all engineering disciplines, and independently determining actions necessary for design project development and completion. Additionally, the manager will coordinate a project staff, review final contract documents, and be responsible for the engineering analysis, development, design, and preparation of complete plans and specifications for new work and improvements.
