Candidates should possess 4+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect management, along with a basic understanding of DevOps practices and experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform or Ansible. Proficiency in using test management tools like TestRail or Xray and defect tracking systems like Jira is required, alongside solid problem-solving and communication skills, an understanding of software testing methodologies, and familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
The QA/Operations Engineer will investigate and troubleshoot failures of test cases or crashes of products, analyze application and environment problems and work with engineers to resolve issues, escalate failures to product development teams if issues are reproducible, remediate endpoint systems ensuring maximum uptime of the test environment, research software needs and test plans, administer lab machines consisting of both physical hardware and virtual machines, including creating golden images of operating system configurations and updating them as needed, and running product test cases manually to perform environment validation.
