Requirements

Ability to work onsite at the client's office in Salarpuria Knowledge City in Hyderabad
Ability to work full-time, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written) in Punjabi
Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in Punjabi
Strong English skills, both written and verbal
Experience with MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to navigate networks and websites with different browsers
Basic knowledge of PC hardware (desktop and laptop)
Basic understanding of smartphones (iPhone or Android)
Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Candidates with Localization/QA/translation experience or advanced computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

Proofread and edit content already localized to Punjabi, catching errors in grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, political incorrectness, inconsistencies, and extra spaces
Occasionally translate content from English to Punjabi
Check UIs for functional issues
Write and report relevant bugs and errors using best practices through the internal database system
Understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently
QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases
Discover and report defects (bugs) using client-specific bug-tracking tools
Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation
Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in Punjabi; research and resolve linguistic questions
Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries
Troubleshoot basic problems; communicate effectively and escalate testing issues
Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner
