Requirements

Deep specialization in Property business to foresee external conditions affecting AIG’s future
Based in Mexico City
Experience as a People Manager leading an underwriting team (e.g., seven underwriters)
Ability to guide, motivate, develop, and coach underwriters to higher performance levels
Primarily in-office presence to support in-person collaboration

Responsibilities

Define the Property strategy in Mexico, aligned with LAC and International Commercial Property strategies; drive the Property vision and value proposition
Recognize and respond to changing business and competitive environment dynamics to advance client value
Find, recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performance people
Support seven Property underwriters in business decisions, leveraging expertise, experience, and analytical models; provide referral support within own underwriting authority
Develop and deliver innovative, market-leading products and services meeting customer needs, leveraging AIG strengths
Drive underwriting and operational excellence across Property businesses within Global guardrails, ensuring adherence to methodology, risk appetite, line setting, guidelines, business rules, and pricing adequacy; collaborate with Regional Property Head
Promote synergies among Distribution, other underwriting teams, and support staff
Collaborate with Claims for claims excellence reputation and with Actuarial for effective pricing tools
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, producers, reinsurers, and partners
Contribute to LAC Property Leadership Team, reporting to Commercial Lines Products and Property Director, overseen by LAC Regional Head of Property; develop business strategies and translate into outcomes
