Requirements

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in product, engineering, or design, with a proven track record of taking a product from concept to its initial release. Advanced proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude, including hands-on experience developing custom prompts, is essential. A strong interest in AI and LLM technologies, the ability to translate product requirements into effective prompts, and a pragmatic approach to ambiguous problems in a startup environment are also required. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in prompt engineering or fine-tuning. Candidates must also have at least 4 hours of overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities

The Prompt Engineer will develop, experiment with, and refine prompts for large language models (LLMs) to ensure the browser, Dia, interacts effectively with users. They will iterate on prompts based on feedback and evaluation data, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to translate user needs into prompt strategies. Responsibilities include building tools for prompt iteration and LLM evaluation, designing evaluations to guide feature development, documenting prompts, sharing best practices, and staying current with AI and LLM trends.
