Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in project planning within the electrical infrastructure sector, specifically in substation or transmission line construction
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Solid understanding of EPC project delivery models, construction sequencing, and substation components
  • Experience with earned value management, resource loading, and performance measurement
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation
  • Well versed in MS Office Package; experience with Power BI and time chainage software
  • Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgment, including balancing competing issues
  • Clear communication – verbal and written
  • Presented problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Specialised knowledge of project scheduling ideally within a major electrical infrastructure project
  • Proficient in Primavera software applications and P3/database programming
  • Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning methodologies
  • Actively assist in the identification and communication of risks and opportunities for the project
  • Develop cost schedules to forecast estimated costs of completion
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and maintain alignment on project milestones, timelines, and deliverables
  • Monitor progress and performance against the baseline schedule and provide regular updates and reports to project leadership and clients
  • Integrate schedules with cost control systems to support accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company planning procedures, industry standards, and client requirements
  • Assist with clients’ needs through personal contact and analysis of the projects and contract documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
