Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (some travel required, 10%-25%, including international)
  • Proficiency in communication of technical and business ideas through engineering drawings and written and spoken English
  • Operate in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Journeymen's Card in metal tooling, related field, or equivalent education
  • 8+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience in leading large manufacturing projects and developing assembly processes
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops and delivers metal fabrication processes and technologies that are most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
  • Maintain current records and share metal fabrication process standards across Rockwell Automation facilities globally
  • Lead cross functional teams to create and implement standard fabrication processes
  • Support metal stamping, specifying, building and qualification of tools for global facilities
  • Create cross functional and business synergy in optimizing standards and equipment globally, while ensuring the application of appropriate technologies
  • Establishes solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process and manage resolution of issues of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Research, develops and implements new and emerging metal fabrication technologies for applicability and cost saving potential
  • Works on complex issues varying in size and scope, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of product lifecycles, NPI, and manufacturing systems/process design
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ensures engagement with key project stakeholders, sharing knowledge based in facts & logic
  • Identifies, analyzes and manages project risk
  • Oversees process governance and process change management
  • Educate other business functions (Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Business Units) on standard processes that are developed for Rockwell Automation and, where applicable, drive re-use of processes
  • Critically evaluates key factors (e.g., costs, benefits, timeliness, and risks) and all reasonable alternatives before making decisions
  • Helps translate vision of a desired future state of product manufacturing into clear priorities and practical plans for achieving that vision
  • Consistently moves problems towards resolution when encountering obstacles, uncertain conditions, or situations where lack of data or conflicting data means that there is no clear "right" choice; helps others do same
  • Drives successful execution of new initiatives and projects by fulfilling individual responsibilities
