Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a machinist or machine operator with minimal supervision required
  • Knowledge of setting up and running production machining equipment
  • Capable of reading and interpreting drawings
  • Understanding and skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment and gauges to inspect machined parts
  • Skills and knowledge in operating manual and CNC machining equipment
  • Able to work 1st shift as assigned
  • Exhibit skills and willingness to perform assigned tasks in a fully competent manner
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines and tools to perform any operation within machine capacity with special fixtures or holding devices if required
  • Comply with all TurboFab’s Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, Regulations and Guidelines
  • Keep all areas clean and orderly and comply with TurboFab’s housekeeping procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Meet production requirements with components requiring tolerance and meeting quality standards
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Keep and maintain records and documents as required
  • Train less experienced machinists as required
