Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in discrete pharmaceutical manufacturing (parenteral filling and/or inspection processes, device assembly or packaging)
  • Ability to travel up to 1-2 weeks per month domestically and/or internationally

Responsibilities

  • Lead the effective deployments and Commissioning & Qualification efforts of robotic systems
  • Work with vendors to solve, shakedown, and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities
  • Develop capabilities in robotics and PLC programming to troubleshoot design and/or functional issues
  • Author and/or review site documentation (e.g., test cases, design documents) for assigned robotic systems
  • Work closely with the Robotics Platform Owner to support the design of robotic systems
  • Be a champion for safety, compliance, and quality best practices
  • Support GRP lab activities and application development (robotics system design, 2D/3D vision, robot code development, augmented/virtual reality simulation)
  • Provide technical mentoring to Lilly engineers related to robotics deployment and utilization
  • Work with Global Facilities Delivery (GFD), GRP Platform Owners, and manufacturing sites to support robotic system profiling and development
  • Support the development of Engineering Best Practices and Engineering Standards for robotic application development
  • Participate in multi-functional teams within manufacturing, quality, and other business units
