Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (preference for Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management Engineering)
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
Preferred: Experience with IQ/OQ
Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD
Preferred: Experience with MS Projects (or other related software)
Preferred: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical or food industries
Location: Based in Lincoln, Nebraska (not remote)

Responsibilities

Develop detailed Capital project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization techniques
Develop and test new manufacturing methods and equipment to enhance efficiency and quality
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain
Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders and management
Prepare and present reports, documentation, and technical drawings
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and regulations
Conduct risk assessments and implement quality control measures
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for quality issues
Source and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovation to enhance efficiency and safety
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions
Identify cost savings opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives
Monitor and control project expenditures
