Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project cost analysis and controls, overseeing cost reporting and monitoring budgets for intermediate projects
  • Input budgets into AEP corporate systems and provide ongoing forecast updates and variance analysis
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scope, budgeting, schedule, cost performance, and forecasting
  • Coordinate project meetings and work with project team members on activities
  • Support Project Managers (PMs) in preparing/updating project documentation and planning
  • Assist with forecasts of project spending, cash flows, budget variance monitoring, and cost tracking/analysis
  • Provide analysis and verification for SOX activities and input into annual budget, capital forecast, five-year plan, and improvement requisitions
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders for variance reporting and establishing time-phased baseline budgets
  • Create work orders and coordinate with external contractors/vendors for integration into project budget and schedule
  • Communicate budgetary items with project teams, resources, internal/external stakeholders; supply information and seek assistance
  • Perform departmental functions like tracking/analyzing/verifying unvouchered liabilities (UVLs), maintaining project records, and managing work order processes
  • Assist in contracting processes (e.g., bidding, cost analysis, tracking) depending on business unit
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solutions
  • Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees
  • Support continuous process improvement, develop tools/processes, and recommend enhancements for role, project performance, service delivery, and stewardship
  • Adhere to AEP project management standards and assist in managing projects accordingly
