Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-college or university and between 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, along with networks with senior internal and external personnel in their area of expertise. They should demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, and have experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, and meeting schedule timelines. Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and documentation, are required, as well as the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and a self-starter attitude with the capacity to quickly learn new tools and processes. In-depth experience creating spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation is also necessary, alongside strong observational and analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information, attention to detail, and risk management. Familiarity with various project management methodologies is required.
The Program Manager III will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of internal information and system-specific projects from initiation to delivery, often involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades. They will coordinate work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners, defining project requirements, performing feasibility assessments, and developing detailed project plans. This includes managing resource allocation, progress tracking, change control, testing, documentation, training, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget constraints. The role involves managing multiple, complex, cross-functional projects, partnering with functional teams through various phases, creating comprehensive project documentation, defining project scope and objectives, driving project milestones, using metrics to measure performance, and ensuring risks are accounted for. They will also be responsible for internal process improvements, engaging with vendor partners, coordinating meetings, evaluating post-project results, and performing other duties as required.
