Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and be registered as a Professional Engineer or demonstrate the ability to obtain registration within six months of employment. They should possess a minimum of five to ten years of design experience related to aviation, municipal, and/or transportation projects, with proficiency in roadway, utility, site grading, drainage, and storm water management. An emerging interest or prior experience leading project teams and managing project scopes, schedules, financials, and technical requirements is preferred, along with familiarity with FAA regulations and procedures.
The Professional Engineer will support design and planning for complex site development and airfield design projects, manage the entire project lifecycle from conceptual design to construction, contribute to the rehabilitation and construction of airport infrastructure, collaborate with a team to provide engineering services, prepare plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates, and communicate effectively through proposals, reports, presentations, and client consultations. They will also be responsible for flexibility in travel for team meetings, client visits, and other project-related activities.
