Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and capable of learning injection molding processes
Experienced in proper mold installation procedures
Working knowledge and understanding of the five key processing parameters
Ability to read technical drawings and setup sheets
Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mold handling equipment
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to lift and move heavy molds (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance), stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of himself and fellow employees
Safely install and remove molds from injection molding machines according to production schedules, including proper alignment and secure mounting
Set up machines with proper parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle time
Inspect molds and machines for wear, damage, or defects and report issues to maintenance or tooling departments
Maintain cleanliness and organization of mold storage and work areas
Collaborate with process technicians and quality control to ensure product specifications are met
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during mold changes and machine setups
Utilize knowledge of processing parameters to produce a quality product
Responsible for accurate and thorough documentation and data communication
