Requirements

  • High-school degree or equivalent
  • 1 or more years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to report to work on time and work the entire scheduled shift; timely and regular attendance required
  • Ability to handle and manage stress in a high-volume, fast-paced, complex, and busy environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a “can-do” mindset and ability to act
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, overtime, or rotating 12-hour shifts as needed
  • Team player attitude; ability to interact positively, professionally, and cooperatively with others
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions; good communication skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
  • Ability to stand and walk at least 70% of the time
  • Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds a minimum of 2 times daily, and 30-35 pounds frequently
  • Ability to squat, kneel, and bend frequently
  • Ability to work in a cold (40-50 degree) environment and tolerate exposure to flour and yeast
  • Ability to climb steps and vertical ladders up to 10 feet high frequently
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner
  • Maintain assigned shift attendance
  • Work in all areas of production and packaging as assigned, including operating machinery, working in close proximity to it, and crossing platforms over it
  • Work as part of a team
  • Assist fellow employees as needed
