Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
9+ years of experience in shop operations and project management
Influential and solution-enabling mindset
Ability to work with internal cross-functional teams (local and global)
Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles
Strong oral and written communication skills (desired)

Responsibilities

Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically hourly populations
Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline, including support roles with specialized expertise
Apply general business knowledge to understand team contributions to the area
Resolve issues using established procedures, consulting supervisor or senior team members as needed
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) to solve issues and improve operational efficiency
Develop strong relationships and serve as interface among Supply Chain Functions, exchanging technical information
Work with functional managers and key stakeholders to generate and implement continuous improvement ideas for bottom-line results
Track and report metrics including labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity, and customer complaints
Establish team goals that meet or exceed quality standards
Develop and manage operational budget for functional area
Implement business unit objectives and manufacturing department goals
Drive, monitor, and improve productivity while meeting customer commitments in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner
Develop and create training plans to maximize workforce capability
Lead Compliance, Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
Promote Kaizen culture and implementation of Continuous Improvement programs by collaborating with CFTs
Coach and guide junior Engineers/PTLs
Perform daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line, including Service Shops
Plan and execute activities within operating discipline, with some autonomy and judgment under guidance
