Requirements

Strong working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes, with ability to perform basic troubleshooting
Ability to manage and troubleshoot all technology and tools used in kitchen production
Ability to oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of kitchen employees
Availability for 1st shift schedule (7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, off Saturday & Sunday)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Ready to Heat (RTH) project manager and cross-functional partners to create SOPs and processes
Observe processes and identify opportunities to enhance them
Write clear descriptions of processes
Hire and train hourly resources (production cooks, kitchen associates, kitchen stewards) on processes
Arrive prior to production start to receive daily production plan from Production Kitchen Manager
Manage delegation of production tasks to ensure proper staffing for all tasks
Set up workstations for each production kitchen activity according to SOPs to meet production targets
Share recommendations for improvements to safety, equipment, and/or SOPs with Continuous Improvement Manager
Demonstrate leadership during adoption of new processes and identify opportunities to gain efficiency and improve quality
Lead shift-level safety meetings
Inspect working areas and hold team accountable for maintaining a clean, safe work environment
Ensure teams are on track to meet production targets
Verify production cooks understand output and quality standards
Oversee ingredient prep, cooking, cooling, and portioning/transportation
Manage team performance, including participating in hiring, coaching, delivering feedback, and conducting performance reviews
Maintain and lead a food-safe and quality-focused culture
