Bachelor’s degree and 6+ months leadership background OR High School degree with 3+ years of leadership experience (Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or related field)
Candidates in the rotational Land O'Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered
Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
Strong demonstrated computer skills (including Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to other programs)
Ability to coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff
Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals
Communicator, decision maker, quality orientation, technical/professional knowledge, customer focus, time management, and oriented toward process improvement
Excellent teamwork skills/ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Strong understanding in food safety and manufacturing processes
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without supervision
Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the line when short-handed
Willingness to run production on Saturdays when needed
Availability for 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and flexibility to fill in on other shifts as necessary
Responsibilities
Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area; set a leading example by supporting and adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times
Ensure all tasks are performed using proper SOPs/GMPs, safety procedures, and other regulations
Ensure Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift/work orders
Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained by following SOP and NBi Learn, WEM
Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts, inspection results, etc
Direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals
Monitor and update Workday time keeping as needed and approve time each week
Review daily paperwork
Lead, coach, train, direct, and discipline employees
Partner with multiple departments to execute department orders and ensure goals are met
Coordinate and provide direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility
Manage production personnel and execute production for multiple departments
Work with other team members to resolve production issues and employee relations concerns
