Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ months leadership background OR High School degree with 3+ years of leadership experience (Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or related field)
  • Candidates in the rotational Land O'Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
  • Strong demonstrated computer skills (including Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to other programs)
  • Ability to coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff
  • Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals
  • Communicator, decision maker, quality orientation, technical/professional knowledge, customer focus, time management, and oriented toward process improvement
  • Excellent teamwork skills/ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong understanding in food safety and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without supervision
  • Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the line when short-handed
  • Willingness to run production on Saturdays when needed
  • Availability for 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and flexibility to fill in on other shifts as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area; set a leading example by supporting and adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Ensure all tasks are performed using proper SOPs/GMPs, safety procedures, and other regulations
  • Ensure Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift/work orders
  • Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained by following SOP and NBi Learn, WEM
  • Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts, inspection results, etc
  • Direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals
  • Monitor and update Workday time keeping as needed and approve time each week
  • Review daily paperwork
  • Lead, coach, train, direct, and discipline employees
  • Partner with multiple departments to execute department orders and ensure goals are met
  • Coordinate and provide direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility
  • Manage production personnel and execute production for multiple departments
  • Work with other team members to resolve production issues and employee relations concerns
