Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing sciences desired
4+ years’ experience in production of industrial gases, flammable, nonflammable, medical mixes, pure products and liquids
1+ year of cylinder maintenance
1+ year in a management capacity
Sales, Operations Planning, Material Planning, and Production Scheduling experience
Greenbelt Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Familiar with CGA, FDA, NFPA, and other regulatory agencies associated with the compressed gas industry
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to operate forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace

Responsibilities

Leads and directs the day-to-day operations of flammable and nonflammable gases in a production setting
Builds and maintains the facility's safety culture and performance
Delivers and maintains compliance within the facility
Maintains correct staffing levels based on production demands
Manages inventory control within the facility
Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment
Creates a safe work environment by contributing to zero preventable accidents, and by continuous compliance with company safety rules, standard operating procedures and governmental regulations
Coordinates monthly safety meetings for production associates
Pulls SAP orders to review and analyze demands to determine production associates' work assignments
Manages associates' work schedules to meet filler efficiencies
Updates system to input production hours and fill rates to maintain filler efficiency tool; implements and suggests improvement measures for production and equipment performance
Works with additional plants and branches to ensure proper order delivery and status updates are met
Coordinates with inventory control team on the plant's inventory levels, supplies and equipment
Works with shipping associates to verify load assignments and ensures all trip sheets are accurate and followed
Provides leadership direction to all levels of associates in the plant including positive motivation and performance evaluations, coaching, providing regular feedback through one-on-one meetings, communication of goals, leading regular team meetings and calls
Coordinates with other departments to ensure seamless follow-through on customer service requirements and expectations
Committed to and follows Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to the position
