  • Skills in direction and leadership, managing daily production workload, ensuring quality, cross-training, skill development, and approving time off/hours worked

Responsibilities

  • Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced, and achieve department metrics
  • Conduct people leader activities, including approving time off, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, disciplinary action, and maintaining company policies and procedures
  • Communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns in written and oral form to employees, other shifts, and support staff (including supervisors and managers) to meet customer expectations
  • Ensure individuals are trained to appropriate assembly build instructions and compliant with all applicable training requirements; flex personnel intelligently based on training and skill sets to meet customer schedules
  • Support and lead improvement initiatives, actively participating to improve the work environment, including safety and cleanliness
